The "In Control" Logo
The image in the center of the logo is the Japanese kanji for Ki. In this instance, symbolizing the physical and emotional energy of conflict. The triangle represents Irimi or entering movements, which allow one to move off the direct line of conflict and still enage it. The circle symbolizes Tenkan or outside turning movements creating the most dynamic way of controlling a conflict. It is also the Zen Circle which signifies infinity, reminding us that all of our actions move out from us infinitely like the ripples of a pebble dropped in calm water, ultimately affecting everything.

- Sensei Milenkovich has practiced Aikido and conflict management for over twenty years. He is an Assistant Lecturer with the International Ki Society, headquartered in Japan. He holds the rank of Sandan in Shuyokan Ryu Aikijutsu and also the rank of Nidan in Shin Shin Toitsu Aikido. He is currently studying at the Shuyokan Dojo in Costa Mesa, CA.
